What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in starts at 15:00. Please check out by 11:00 a.m.

I cannot arrive by the time of check-in. How should I check in?

Please let us know your name and estimated arrival time. If you arrive after midnight, please let us know in advance. Note that we will cancel your reservation without such a prior announcement.

When should I pay the accommodation fee? At the time of check-in or check-out?

Our hotel has a prepaid policy.
We ask our guests to pay the accommodation fee corresponding to the number of nights at the time of Check-in.
If you stay longer than your initial reservation, please pay the additional accommodation fee day by day.
Receipts will be made out to the name you specify.

Are credit cards accepted for paying in the hotel?

Yes, the cards listed below are accepted at the hotel.

Can I pay the accommodation fee before check-in?

Yes, we accept advance payment through the methods listed below.
*Payment by bank transfer
*Direct payment by visiting our hotel in advance

If you want to pay your accommodation fee in advance, please call the front desk and let us know the details such as when and how.
Without advance payment, the person who will stay at our hotel on a reserved day must pay the accommodation fee upon checking in.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

We accept reservations eight months before your stay by phone or online.
If you wish to stay longer than the predetermined plans on our website, please call us directly.

Can I make a reservation on the day of my stay?

We accept reservations by phone or online.
Please confirm the availability on the day by phone or online, just in case of no vacancy.

Can I request a non-smoking room or a smoking room?

All of our rooms are non-smoking.
When you want to smoke, please use the smoking booth on the 9th floor.

Would you give me the detailed information about staying with children?

You can share a bed with a child under 6 years of age without any charge.
Please request that in advance or at the front desk when you check in.

Additionally, when there are three or more individuals, including children aged 7 to 12, the number of beds serves as the upper limit.
Children aged 7 to 12 can stay for free when sharing a bed.

[This policy applies to both double rooms and twin rooms.]
1 adult a 7-year-old child → considered as 2 adults
2 adults a 7-year-old child → considered as 2 adults and 1 child sharing the bed.

We are going to stay at your hotel to celebrate a birthday or a wedding anniversary. Can you offer assistance in holding a surprise event?

It may be possible to assist guests in holding a surprise even depending on the circumstances. Please contact us by phone or on our website for more information.

Does the hotel have staff who can speak foreign languages?

Some staff members can speak English or Korean.
*Please note that they are working in shifts and not stationed permanently.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation fees will be charged as follows.
2 to 3 days before: 20% of the room rate
One day before: 50% of the room rate
Cancelation on your scheduled arrival day: 100% of the room rate
No-show: 100% of the room rate

*Cancellation policy varies for groups of more than eight members. Please inquire directly at the hotel.

What are the extra charges for early check-in or late check-out?

In the case of early check-in:
Generally, guests can check in from 15:00. Depending on the room availability, you may be able to enter your room a bit earlier than 15:00. If you request a specific early check-in time, you need to pay an extra charge. (You should reserve the early check-in time at least one day before your arrival.) Please note that we cannot accept some requests depending on the availability of rooms.

In the case of late check-out:
Guests must pay an extra charge for late check-out. We may accept some requests depending on the booking of rooms.
Guests who are JR HOTELS MEMBERS can extend check-out until 12:00 without an extra charge.

Is there a curfew for entry to the hotel?

There is no curfew. However, all the hotel entrances are locked from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
To open the entrance, you must bring your card key whenever you go out.

Is it possible to store luggage at the hotel before check-in or after check-out?

We can store your belongings and luggage at our hotel reception. Please do not hesitate to notify us if you would like to use this service.
After check-out, you can store your luggage only for that day.
In addition, please note that we cannot accept valuables, fragile items, dangerous goods, important documents, and perishable goods.
A self baggage drop machine is available on the 9th floor.

I would like to send my luggage to the hotel in advance. Does the hotel allow this?

Yes. Please ensure your luggage contains the following information:
•Guest name (written in full)
*Please use the same name written on the reservation.
•Reservation date
•Your phone number

*Please use the same name written in the same language as when the reservation was made.
*Please add the travel agency's name when you participate in a tour conducted by a travel agency.

How can I get to the hotel from Kumamoto Station?

Just after going out of the Shirakawaguchi, the East exit, you can see the entrance of our hotel on your right side.
Please use the elevator to come to the reception desk on the 9th floor.

Would you tell me how to access your hotel from Aso Kumamoto Airport?

Get on the airport limousine from Aso Kumamoto Airport, and get off at the bus stop in front of JR Kumamoto Station. Heading toward Kumamoto Station, you will see the entrance of our hotel. Please use the elevator to come to the reception desk on the 9th floor.

Can the hotel loungewear (pajamas) be used when walking around inside the hotel building?

Guests may go from their rooms to the bathing area using hotel loungewear and slippers. However, please refrain from going to the lobby or the restaurant in loungewear (pajamas) and slippers.

No, we don't have any special amenity items for children.

Yes, all guest rooms have a mobile phone charger.

Yes, we do. There are a limited numbers of wheelchairs. Please make a request in advance.

Is there a room humidifier?

Yes, all guest rooms have an air humidifier and purifier.

Is there an electric kettle?

Yes, all guest rooms have an electric kettle.

Is there a refrigerator?

Yes. All guest rooms have a refrigerator.
Please note that all refrigerators except in "THE SUITE Hanare" are empty.

Is there cold or hot water available in hotel rooms?

We provide some bottles of mineral water in all guest rooms.
You can drink the tap water in your room. When you want to drink hot water, please use the electric kettle in your hotel room. Please use the icemakers on the 9th floor if you need ice cubes.

Can we use an extra bed?

Deluxe twin rooms and Deluxe twin rooms NAGOMI are available for groups with three guests, using an extra bed or extra Futon bed (for NAGOMI) at an additional charge, respectively.
There are limited numbers of extra beds. Please make a request in advance.

Do you have baby beds?

Yes, we do. There are limited numbers of baby beds. Please request one in advance.

Do you have baby fences?

Yes, we do. There are limited numbers of baby fences. Please request one in advance.

Do you have baby strollers?

No, we do not have strollers.

Do you have a room accessible by wheelchair?

Yes, we have a Universal single room. As for the details and availability, please contact us.

Do you have connecting rooms?

No, we do not have any connecting rooms.

Are newspapers available in guest rooms?

You can get a newspaper in the morning with an extra charge. If you require this service, please make a request at the front desk in advance.

Do all rooms have a unit bath system with a toilet?

Moderate business double, Moderate double, and Moderate twin rooms have a shower booth without a bathtub and a separate toilet room. Other rooms have a bathroom with a washing area, a bathtub, and a separate toilet room.
Toilets all have a warm-water washing toilet seat (Washlet toilet).

Can I connect to the internet in guest rooms and/or the lobby?

You can connect to the internet through Wi-Fi in all areas of the hotel.
You can also connect to the internet through wired LAN ports, and LAN cables are available. Please inquire at the front desk.
*Sometimes, connection failure may occur depending on your device setting.

Where is the front desk?

Our front desk is located on the 9th floor.

Do you have a bathing area?

The bathing area is located on the 9th floor. It is only available for our overnight guests. (Free of charge)

Do you have meeting rooms or banquet rooms?

Yes. We have a banquet room run by THE FOREST TERRACE KUMAMOTO on the 8th floor. Please contact THE FOREST TERRACE KUMAMOTO directly to make a reservation.

Do you have any smoking areas inside the hotel?

Yes. We have smoking booths on the 9th floor.

Do you have coin-operated washing machines?

Yes. There are 24-hour coin-operated washing machines available on the 9th floor.

Do you have laundry service?

Yes, you can use our laundry service at an extra charge. Please fill out the slip prepared in your room and bring your laundry to the front desk.
If you bring laundry by 10:00 a.m., you can get the washed laundry by 18:00.
Please note that the laundry service is unavailable on Sunday.

Do you have vending machines in the hotel?

Yes. There are beverage vending machines available on the 9th floor.

Do you have icemaker machines in the hotel?

Yes. There are free icemaker machines available on the 9th floor.

Can I send luggage from the hotel?

Courier services are available at the front desk on the 9th floor. However, courier services are available only for domestic delivery.

Is there a hotel shuttle service available?

No, we do not provide any transportation services.

Are there taxis readily available in front of the hotel?

No, taxis are not stationed in front of the hotel. The taxi stand is located in front of JR Kumamoto Station. If you need a taxi, please make a request at the front desk. (Sometimes, taxis cannot arrive immediately, so please make a request in advance.)

Are there any convenience stores nearby?

There is a FamilyMart located within a one-minute walk.

Do you provide any discount rate for accommodation fees when I use JR transportation services?

No, we do not provide any discount rate even though you use JR transportation services. However, JR Kyushu Travel Agency offers special pricing plans with railway service or flights. Please check and access those plans.

Restaurant

When does the restaurant open in the morning?

Opening hours for breakfast are 6:30~10:30 (Last order 10:00).
We serve breakfast at the Restaurant "Senzan Bansuri" on the 9th floor.
We provide breakfast to our overnight guests for 2,750 yen (1,400 yen for children) at the restaurant. No reservations are required.

Can visitors other than overnight guests have breakfast in the hotel restaurant?

Yes, we serve breakfast to all guests in addition to overnight guests.

Is there a fee for children to use the hotel breakfast service?

The breakfast fee for children aged 7 to 12 will be charged.

Is the restaurant open for lunch and dinner?

Yes. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and available for all guests in addition to overnight guests.

Apart from the crowds below, you can look down at the afterglow of the sunset and the shining lights of cars from the restaurant in the sky. We offer a variety of dishes using fresh seasonal ingredients harvested in the Kyushu area. The artistic cuisine offers you the delicacies of the four seasons. The large windows provide views of the cityscape and frame the landscape of the "City of Forest," Kumamoto. You can take in the urban night view below while enjoying your meal.

Are there private rooms in the restaurant?

Yes, there is a private room for ten people at maximum.

Is smoking allowed inside the restaurant?

Smoking is prohibited inside the restaurant. You can smoke at a smoking booth on the same floor (9th floor).

Can the hotel staff make reservations for guests at local restaurants?

We do not provide a proxy service for restaurant reservations.

No, it is not a natural hot spring; it uses heated water.

No, there are no lockers for valuables. Please keep your valuables in the safety box in your room.

Are there separate family baths or private baths?

No, there are no family baths or private baths.

Can children enter the bathing area?

Yes, of course, provided that a parent or guardian accompanies children. Unaccompanied children cannot use the bathing area.
Children of the opposite sex are allowed to bathe up to 6 years old or younger.

I have a tattoo, can I use the bathing area?

We decline the admission of guests with a tattoo.
