Hotel OkuraJR Huis Ten Boschwill hold the gourmet event "West Kyushu Gourmet Journey Vol. 5," which promotes the appeal of local cuisine, on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

This event is part of a series that focuses on different regions within Nagasaki Prefecture, showcasing the unique local ingredients and food culture through cuisine.
For this fifth installment, we will be offering a one-night-only kaiseki (traditional multi-course Japanese) meal themed around "Tsushima City," prepared by the head chef of the Japanese restaurant "Sakura," Yukinori Kashizawa.
Surrounded by the sea on all sides, Tsushima boasts a rich, unspoiled natural environment, including a beautiful ria coastline with crystal-clear waters, and is home to a diverse array of seasonal ingredients.
On the day of the event, you can enjoy dishes made with carefully selected ingredients from Tsushima, prepared by our head chef to bring out the best in each ingredient. We will also introduce the dedication of the producers who support each dish and the thoughts and feelings put into the ingredients. We hope to offer you a moment to experience the island's climate and culture through food.
