Hotel Okura JR Huis Ten Bosch (10 Huis Ten Bosch-cho, Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture; General Manager: Kazuhiro Hirukawa) will hold 'Okura Pan Marche vol.2' on Sunday, September 13, 2026, aimed at fostering interaction with the local community and creating lively hotel atmospheres. On the same day, we will also hold the 'Premium Sweets Collection in Autumn by Ryoji Akiyoshi,' where you can enjoy sweets crafted by hotel pastry chefs.
At "Okura Bread Marche vol.2," approximately 30 bakeries beloved in the Saga and Nagasaki areas will gather in the hotel's banquet hall to sell their signature breads and seasonal specialties. The event was planned to showcase the charm of long-established and beloved local bakeries, while also providing guests with an opportunity to discover new bakeries.
Additionally, the hotel's bakery shop, "Sailer," will have a booth on the day, offering popular items baked in-house, such as pretzels and butter kipferl.
Also on the same day, we will be hosting "Akiyoshi Ryoji's Premium Sweets Collection in Autumn" at the Premier Banquet Hall "Pearl" on the 12th floor of the hotel. A variety of desserts, including seasonal sweets created by pastry chef Akiyoshi Ryoji, will be offered in a buffet style.
We especially recommend the "Yamato Vanilla Bean and Taiyo Egg Milkshake," which uses ingredients sourced from Nagasaki Prefecture. While 99.9 % of vanilla beans distributed in Japan are said to be imported, we use "Yamato Vanilla Beans" cultivated in Omura City. Combining the elegant and rich aroma of domestically produced vanilla beans with the rich flavor of "Taiyo Eggs" delivered directly from Unzen, we have created a smooth and rich milkshake that brings out the best of both ingredients.
