JR KYUSHU STATION HOTEL KOKURA (1-1 Asano 1-chome, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka 802-0001 Japan General Manager Masanobu Shirahama) will hold the directly managed restaurant 'Yakura' from Thursday, October 1 to Monday, November 30, 2026, offering the 'Eat and Support Kumamoto Flavors Lunch Buffet,' where you can enjoy ingredients from Kumamoto Prefecture and the unique flavors of Kumamoto.

This fair will feature an "Onigiri Station" using rice grown with support for Kumamoto's reconstruction efforts, tempura made with freshly fried chikuwa (fish cake), a specialty of Hinagu, Kumamoto, pasta made with vegetables from Kumamoto Prefecture, and cakes made with chestnuts from Kumamoto Prefecture. In addition to enjoying Kumamoto's ingredients and local cuisine, we will deliver a lunch buffet where you can feel the charm of Kumamoto up close through the culinary experience of "choosing, making, frying, and tasting" onigiri.

During the event period, 50 yen will be donated to support the recovery efforts in Kumamoto for each customer who uses the lunch buffet. Furthermore, 100 yen will be donated for every 5 kg of Kumamoto recovery support rice purchased for the fair. This system allows us to support Kumamoto through both the purchase of ingredients and our customers' use of the buffet.

During the period when the popular tempura menu at the live kitchen is available, in addition to the usual seasonal vegetables and shrimp, you can also enjoy tempura made with "Hinagu Chikuwa," a specialty of Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

The Onigiri Station offers seven types of fillings, including "Aso Takana Char Siu" and "Karashi Renkon Meat Soboro," allowing you to enjoy your rice balls with your favorite toppings. You can also enjoy them as ochazuke (rice with tea).
