The altitude is 1,583 m. Located in the northeastern part of Yufuin, it is also called "Bungo Fuji" because of its beautiful and majestic appearance with twin peaks. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the town of Yufuin, Beppu Bay, and the Kokonoe mountain range. It is one of the few mountains where you can experience the "Brocken phenomenon".
