This aquarium features a modern building along Beppu Bay. In the large circular aquarium that recreates the ria coastline of the prefecture's south, you can get a close-up look at the dynamic movements of the fish of the Bungo Channel as they swim around the false rocks. There is also a zone where you can enjoy seeing hairtail fish lit up in the dark and jellyfish that change colour under special lighting. There are also limited-time events, such as a night aquarium, depending on the season.
