JR KYUSHU HOTEL THE BLOSSOM KYOTO (The Blossom Kyoto: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto), a lodging-oriented hotel operated by Zuand Resorts Co., Ltd., will hold a "New Year's Calligraphy Performance & Experience Event" for three days from January 1 (Wednesday) to 3 (Friday), 2025, in which anyone can participate.
In this event, we will invite Mr. Soyu, a calligrapher based in Hiroshima and Kyoto, to enjoy the charm of "calligraphy", which is a good old culture of Japan, through a calligraphy experience with Mr. Soyu's impressive performance.

■ Large brush performance by calligrapher Soyu
■ Calligraphy experience
You can actually try out calligraphy and take home the finished work for free.
If you wish, you can also leave your work on colored paper (additional cost).

■ Large brush experience
There will also be a special experience corner (free of charge) where all participants can pick up a large brush and create a work of art together.

About the calligrapher Soyu

Soyu is a calligrapher who studied poetry, calligraphy, and painting, and whose motto is "innovation from ancient times to the present." He has won numerous awards in both calligraphy and Chinese poetry, and holds calligraphy workshops in Hiroshima and Kyoto. He is also active in a wide range of fields, including the creation of products using brush calligraphy designs as a graphic designer.
