Apology and Notice Regarding the Smoke Incident in the Building

Dear Customer,

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th, smoke began to come from a microwave oven located in the vendor room (common area) on the 7th floor of our hotel, which triggered the automatic fire alarm system and a fire announcement was made throughout the hotel.

We sincerely apologize to our guests for the great concern and inconvenience caused during their stay.

When the fire broke out, the vendor room was filled with smoke, making it difficult to identify the source of the smoke and fire, so we prioritized ensuring the safety of our customers and urged them to evacuate outside the building. After that, the fire department confirmed that it was safe, and people were allowed to return to their rooms one by one.

Furthermore, no one was injured as a result of this incident.

Regarding the cause of the smoke, it has been confirmed that the microwave installed in the common area heated food in its packaging, when only the contents should have been heated, causing the packaging to emit smoke.

Our hotel will review and improve the information signs regarding the safe use of shared facilities, as well as thoroughly review and reconfirm operational rules, in an effort to prevent a recurrence.

We would like to once again offer our deepest apologies for the great anxiety this incident has caused our customers and the inconvenience caused by the late-night evacuation guidance.

Going forward, we will continue to inspect the facilities within the hotel and further strengthen our safety management system, and will do our utmost to create an environment where guests can feel even more secure.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your continued patronage.
