Terms & Conditions

Article 1 (Scope of Application)

  • 1
    The accommodation contract and related contracts that this accommodation facility enters into with the guest to be accommodated shall be subject to the provisions of these terms and conditions, and any matters not provided for in these terms and conditions shall be governed by laws and regulations (meaning laws and regulations or those based on laws and regulations; the same applies hereinafter) or generally accepted practices.
  • In cases where the accommodation facility has entered into a special agreement to the extent that it does not violate laws, regulations and customs, the special agreement shall take precedence over the provisions of the preceding paragraph.

Article 2 (Application for Accommodation Contract)

  • 1
    A person who wishes to apply for an accommodation contract with this accommodation facility must provide the accommodation with the following particulars.
    • (1)
      Guest name and contact details
    • (2)
      Date of stay and expected arrival time
    • (3)
      Accommodation fees (in principle, based on the basic accommodation fees in Appendix 1)
    • (4)
      Applicant name and contact details
    • (5)
      Other matters deemed necessary by the accommodation facility
  • If a guest requests, during his/her stay, to extend his/her stay beyond the date specified in paragraph 2 of the preceding paragraph, the accommodation facility will treat this request as if it were a new accommodation contract at the time that the request was made.

Article 3 (Establishment of Accommodation Contracts, etc.)

  • 1
    An accommodation contract shall be deemed to have been established when the accommodation facility accepts the application as described in the preceding article. However, this shall not apply when the accommodation facility proves that it did not accept the application.
  • When an accommodation contract has been concluded in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, an application fee set by this accommodation, up to the basic accommodation fee for the accommodation period, shall be paid by the date specified by this accommodation.
  • The application fee shall first be applied to the accommodation fee finally payable by the Guest, and in the event of the occurrence of a situation to which the provisions of Articles 6 and 18 apply, it shall be applied in the order of penalty charges and compensation, and the remainder, if any, shall be refunded at the time of payment of the accommodation fee as provided for in Article 12.
  • If the application fee stipulated in paragraph 2 is not paid by the date specified by the accommodation facility as stipulated in the same paragraph, the accommodation contract shall become void. However, this shall only apply if the accommodation facility so notifies the guest when specifying the due date for payment of the application fee.

Article 4 (Special agreements not requiring payment of application fees)

  • 1
    Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 2 of the preceding Article, this accommodation facility may enter into a special agreement stipulating that the application fee stipulated in the same paragraph shall not be required after the contract has been concluded.
  • If, when accepting an application for an accommodation contract, the accommodation facility has not requested the payment of the application fee as set forth in paragraph 2 of the preceding Article and has not specified a due date for the payment of the application fee, it will be treated as if the accommodation facility had accepted a special contract as set forth in the preceding paragraph.

Article 4-2 (Request for cooperation in infection prevention measures at facilities)

  • This accommodation facility may request cooperation from guests seeking accommodation pursuant to the provisions of Article 4-2, Paragraph 1 of the Inns and Hotels Act (Act No. 138 of 1948).

Article 5 (Refusal to Conclude an Accommodation Contract)

  • 1
    This accommodation facility may not accept the conclusion of an accommodation contract in the following cases. However, this paragraph does not mean that this accommodation facility may refuse accommodation in cases other than those listed in Article 5 of the Inns and Hotels Act.
    • (1)
      When the application for accommodation does not conform to these terms and conditions.
    • (2)
      When the Hotel is fully booked and no rooms are available.
    • (3)
      When the person seeking accommodation is deemed to be in danger of engaging in conduct that will violate the provisions of the law, the public order or good morals in regard to his/her accommodation.
    • (4)
      When the person seeking accommodation is found to have a history of late payment or other irregularities to the accommodation in the past.
    • (5)
      When the person seeking accommodation is deemed to fall under any of the following items (a) to (c):
      • A
        Organized crime groups (hereinafter referred to as "organized crime groups") stipulated in Article 2, Item 2 of the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members (Act No. 77 of Heisei 3). Organized crime group members stipulated in Article 2, Item 6 of the same Article (hereinafter referred to as "organized crime group members"). Associate members of organized crime groups, people related to organized crime groups, and other antisocial forces
      • B
        When a corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an organized crime group or an organized crime member
      • C
        A corporation in which any of its directors is a member of an organized crime group
    • (6)
      When a person seeking accommodation behaves in a manner that is extremely disruptive to other guests.
    • (7)
      When the person seeking accommodation is a patient of a specific infectious disease as defined in Article 4-2, Paragraph 1, Item 2 of the Inns and Hotels Act (hereinafter referred to as "Patients of a Specified Infectious Disease").
    • (8)
      When the person seeking accommodation is clearly suffering from physical or mental illness.
    • (9)
      When the persons seeking accommodation are minors without written permission from their parents.
    • (10)
      When the person seeking accommodation is likely to cause inconvenience to other guests due to drunkenness, etc.
    • (11)
      When the accommodation facility determines that the guest has made an application for accommodation with the intent of transferring the accommodation rights to another person.
    • (12)
      When violent demands are made in relation to lodging, or when an unreasonable burden is requested (excluding cases where the person seeking lodging requests the removal of social barriers pursuant to the provisions of Article 7, Paragraph 2 or Article 8, Paragraph 2 of the Act on Promotion of Elimination of Disability Discrimination (Act No. 65 of 2013, hereinafter referred to as the "Disability Discrimination Elimination Act").
    • (13)
      When it is impossible to provide accommodation due to natural disasters, malfunctions of facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
    • (14)
      When the provisions of the prefectural ordinances in which the accommodation facility is located apply.
    • (15)
      When a person seeking accommodation has repeatedly made requests to the accommodation facility which are deemed to be excessively burdensome and likely to significantly impede the provision of accommodation-related services to other guests, as specified in Article 5-6 of the Inns and Hotels Act Enforcement Regulations.

Article 5-2 (Explanation of Refusal to Enter into an Accommodation Contract)

  • A person who intends to stay at the accommodation facility may request the accommodation facility to explain the reason if the accommodation facility does not agree to conclude an accommodation contract in accordance with the preceding article.

Article 6 (Guest's Right to Cancel Accommodation Contract)

  • 1
    A guest may cancel the accommodation contract by notifying the accommodation facility.
  • In the event that the guest cancels the accommodation contract in whole or in part due to reasons attributable to the guest (except in the event that the accommodation specifies a due date for the application fee and requests payment pursuant to the provisions of Article 3, Paragraph 2, and the guest cancels the accommodation contract prior to payment), the accommodation facility shall charge a penalty as listed in Attached Table 2. However, in the event that the accommodation facility has entered into a special agreement as set forth in Article 4, Paragraph 1, this shall apply only when the accommodation facility has notified the guest of the obligation to pay the penalty when the guest cancels the accommodation contract, in entering into such special agreement.
  • If a guest does not arrive by 8:00 p.m. on the day of the stay without contacting the accommodation facility (or by two hours after the expected arrival time if the guest has stated the expected arrival time in advance), the accommodation contract may be deemed to have been cancelled by the guest and processed accordingly.

Article 7 (Right to Cancel Contract of Accommodation Facility)

  • 1
    This accommodation facility may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases. However, this paragraph does not mean that this accommodation facility may refuse accommodation in cases other than those listed in Article 5 of the Inns and Hotels Act.
    • (1)
      When the Guest is deemed liable to conduct himself/herself in a manner that will violate the laws, public order or good morals in regard to his/her accommodation, or when he/she is deemed to have conducted such conduct.
    • (2)
      When the Guest is deemed to be one of the following (a) to (c):
      • A
        Organized crime group, organized crime group member, associate member of an organized crime group, or related person to an organized crime group or other antisocial forces
      • B
        When a corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an organized crime group or an organized crime member
      • C
        A corporation in which any of its directors is a member of an organized crime group
    • (3)
      When the guest is a patient of a specific infectious disease.
    • (4)
      When violent demands are made in relation to the accommodation, or an unreasonable burden is requested (excluding cases where the guest requests the removal of social barriers pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph 2 or Article 8, Paragraph 2 of the Disability Discrimination Elimination Law).
    • (5)
      When it is impossible to provide accommodation due to a natural disaster or other force majeure event.
    • (6)
      When it is recognized that the person seeking accommodation is a drunk person, etc., and is likely to cause significant inconvenience to other guests, or when he or she behaves in a manner that causes significant inconvenience to other guests.
    • (7)
      When the Guest smokes tobacco in bed (including heated tobacco products), tampers with fire-fighting equipment, or fails to comply with other regulations of use established by the accommodation facility (limited to those necessary for fire prevention).
    • (8)
      When the provisions of the prefectural ordinances in which the accommodation facility is located apply.
    • (9)
      When the guest has repeatedly made requests to the accommodation facility which are deemed to be excessively burdensome and likely to significantly impede the provision of accommodation-related services to other guests, as specified in Article 5-6 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Inns and Hotels Act.
  • When the accommodation facility has cancelled the accommodation contract in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the facility shall not charge the guest for any accommodation services etc. that have not yet been provided.

Article 7-2 (Explanation of Termination of Accommodation Contract)

  • The Guest may request an explanation of the reason for the cancellation of the Accommodation Contract by the Hotel in accordance with the preceding Article.

Article 8 (Accommodation Registration)

  • 1
    Guests will be required to register the following particulars at the front desk of the accommodation facility on the day of their stay.
    • (1)
      Name, age, gender, address, contact information and occupation of the Guest
    • (2)
      For foreigners who do not have a registered address in Japan, please provide your nationality, passport number, place of entry and date of entry (a copy of your passport will be taken for verification purposes).
    • (3)
      Departure date and scheduled departure time
    • (4)
      Other matters deemed necessary by the accommodation facility
  • If the Guest intends to pay the charges stipulated in Article 12 by any means other than Japanese currency, such as accommodation coupons or credit card, these shall be presented in advance at the time of registration stipulated in the preceding Paragraph.

Article 9 (Room Occupancy Hours)

  • 1
    Please refer to the information about the facility for the hours during which guests can use the guest rooms of this facility. However, if guests are staying consecutively, they can use the rooms all day, except on the days of arrival and departure.
  • Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, this accommodation facility may permit use of the guest room outside the hours specified in the same paragraph. In this case, an additional fee will be charged.

Article 10 (Observance of Terms of Use)

Guests must abide by the accommodation regulations established by the accommodation and posted within the premises.

Article 11 (Business Hours)

  • 1
    For the opening hours of our accommodation's main facilities, please refer to the pamphlets provided, the information signs posted in various places, and the guide around the building.
  • The hours set out in the preceding paragraph may be subject to temporary change due to unavoidable circumstances. In such cases, we will notify you by appropriate means.

Article 12 (Payment of Fees)

  • 1
    The breakdown of the accommodation fees, etc. to be paid by the Guest shall be as set forth in Attached Table 1.
  • Payment of the accommodation fees, etc. in the preceding paragraph shall be made in Japanese currency or in any other means acceptable to this accommodation, such as accommodation vouchers or credit cards, at the front desk upon the guest's arrival or when invoiced by this accommodation.
  • Accommodation fees will be charged even if the Guest voluntarily does not stay in the accommodation facility after the accommodation facility has provided the Guest with a guest room and made it available for use.

Article 13 (Responsibility of the Accommodation Facility)

  • 1
    When the accommodation facility has caused damage to the guest in the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of the accommodation contract and related agreements, the accommodation facility shall compensate the guest for the damage. However, this shall not apply when the damage is due to reasons not attributable to the accommodation facility.
  • In order to deal with fires, etc., the accommodation facility is covered by inn liability insurance.

Article 14 (Handling when contracted rooms cannot be provided)

  • 1
    When the accommodation facility is unable to provide the guest with the contracted room, it will, with the guest's consent, arrange accommodation of the same standards elsewhere where possible.
  • Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if the accommodation facility is unable to arrange other accommodation, the accommodation facility will pay the guest a compensation fee equivalent to the breach of contract charge, which will be applied to the amount of damages. However, if the accommodation facility is unable to provide a room due to reasons beyond the control of the accommodation facility, the accommodation facility will not pay the compensation fee.

Article 15 (Handling of Deposited Items, etc.)

  • 1
    When loss, breakage or other damage occurs to goods, cash or valuables deposited by the guest at the front desk, the accommodation will compensate for such damage, except in cases where such damage is due to force majeure. However, in the case of cash and valuables, if the accommodation requests a declaration of the type and value of the items and the guest fails to do so, the accommodation will compensate for such damage up to a maximum of 100,000 yen.
  • This accommodation will compensate for damages if loss, breakage, or other damage occurs due to the accommodation's intention or negligence, regarding goods, cash, or valuables brought into the accommodation by the guest but not deposited at the front desk. However, for items whose type and value have not been reported in advance by the guest, this accommodation will compensate for such damages up to a maximum of 100,000 yen, except in cases where the accommodation is guilty of intention or gross negligence.

Article 16 (Care of Guest's Baggage and Belongings)

  • 1
    When the baggage of the guest is delivered to the accommodation facility prior to the guest's stay, the accommodation facility will only be responsible for storing it if this has been approved in advance of the guest's arrival and will hand it over to the guest at the front desk at the time of check-in.
  • If a guest's baggage or belongings (excluding valuables) are found left behind at the accommodation after he or she has checked out, the possession of said items will be deemed to have been transferred to the accommodation, and the accommodation will, in principle, wait for contact from the owner and ask for instructions; however, if instructions are not given within one month, the items will be disposed of.
    However, food, drinks, cigarettes, magazines, etc. will be disposed of on the same day. Valuables will be reported to the police as lost property in accordance with the Lost Property Act unless instructions are given by the owner.
  • The liability of the accommodation facility regarding the custody of the guest's baggage and belongings in the cases of the previous two paragraphs shall be in accordance with the provisions of the previous article, paragraph 1 in the case of paragraph 1, and in accordance with the provisions of the same article, paragraph 2 in the case of the previous paragraph.
  • The accommodation facility may inspect the contents of any left behind baggage or personal effects at its discretion in order to dispose of them appropriately according to the nature of the contents, and if necessary, may return them to the owner or dispose of them in accordance with the preceding paragraph, and the guest shall not raise any objection to this.

Article 17 (Liability for Parking)

When a guest uses the parking lot of this accommodation, regardless of whether the key to the vehicle is deposited with the accommodation, this accommodation is merely lending the space and is not responsible for the management of the vehicle. However, if the accommodation causes damage through intentional or negligent acts on the part of the accommodation in managing the parking lot, the accommodation will be liable for compensation.
Please note that the accommodation's affiliated parking lots will follow the rules of the affiliated parking lots.

Article 18 (Guest Liability)

  • 1
    When the accommodation suffers damage caused by the guest's intention or negligence, the guest shall compensate the accommodation for the damage.
  • Smoking is prohibited within this accommodation facility except for designated smoking areas. If a guest is found smoking in the guest room or anywhere within the facility other than the designated smoking areas, the guest will be required to compensate this accommodation facility for damages related to the room cleaning fee and the suspension of room sales as set forth in Appendix 3.

Article 19 (Disclaimer)

The use of computer communications from within the Accommodation shall be at the user's own risk. The Accommodation shall not bear any responsibility whatsoever for any damage suffered by the user as a result of service interruptions caused by system failures or other reasons during the use of computer communications. Furthermore, if damage is caused to the Accommodation or a third party as a result of actions that the Accommodation deems inappropriate regarding the use of computer communications, the user shall compensate for such damage.

Article 20 (Controlling Language)

This agreement has been written in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean. In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between the languages of the agreement, the Japanese text shall prevail in all respects.

Article 21 (Amendment of Terms & Conditions)

This Terms & Conditions may be amended from time to time as necessary. In the event that these terms and conditions are revised, the accommodation facility shall present the contents of the revised terms and conditions and the effective date on the website of the accommodation facility or in the accommodation facility.

【Remarks】

  • 1
    The percentage is the ratio of the penalty to the basic accommodation fee.
  • If the number of contracted days is shortened, we will charge a penalty for the accommodation fee for the first day that is not stayed due to the shortened period from the date of notification, regardless of the number of days that were shortened.
  • If there is a cancellation of the contract for some of the 15 or more people applying for the contract, no penalty fee will be charged for 10% of the number of people in the reservation as of 8 days before the accommodation date (or the day the reservation is accepted if made after that date), with any fractional numbers rounded up.
  • In addition, cancellation fees different from those stated above may be determined for special plans sold by other affiliated businesses or by our accommodation, or for specific groups, etc.

Appendix 3 Compensation for damages caused by smoking within the accommodation facility (related to Article 18, Paragraph 2)

Note: Damages incurred due to suspension of room sales are damages incurred during the period when sales of rooms are suspended for cleaning and deodorizing the rooms.

Rules of Use
In order to ensure that all visitors can spend their time safely and comfortably, the following rules of use have been established in accordance with Article 10 of Terms & Conditions. If you do not comply with these rules, we may refuse to use the accommodation.
In addition, in the event of an accident, the customer may be asked to bear the burden of damage, so please be especially careful.
  • 1. 
    Regarding use of guest rooms and facilities
    • (1)
      Please refer to the evacuation route map displayed near the entrance of each guest room.
    • (2)
      Please do not use any fire equipment or candles for heating or cooking in the rooms or corridors. Also, please do not cook in the rooms.
    • (3)
      Smoking is prohibited in all guest rooms (including heat-not-burn tobacco). If you smoke in the guest room, you will be charged the cleaning fee for bedding, curtains, wallpaper, etc., and the actual cost of repairs. Please smoke only in the designated areas within the building.
    • (4)
      Please do not use the guest rooms for purposes other than accommodation without permission from the accommodation facility.
    • (5)
      We strictly prohibit anyone other than registered guests from staying at the hotel.
    • (6)
      Please do not invite outside guests into your guest room. If you have visitors, please meet them in the lobby.
    • (7)
      Please be sure to lock your room and door when you go to sleep.
    • (8)
      Please do not leave any belongings outside your room.
    • (9)
      Please do not display anything near the windows that may mar the appearance of the accommodation.
    • (10)
      Please do not use the guest rooms and hotel facilities and equipment for purposes other than those specified without consulting the accommodation facility, and do not use them in a way that significantly damages their current state.
    • (11)
      If the structure, furniture, fixtures or other items are damaged or lost or special cleaning is required due to the guest's intentional or negligent acts, the guest may be required to pay a reasonable amount.
    • (12)
      When using an outside line from the guest room, an outside line fee will be charged.
  • 2. 
    Handling of room keys
    • (1)
      Please make sure your door is locked when you leave your room.
    • (2)
      If you leave the accommodation during your stay, please leave your room key at the front desk. When collecting your room key at the front desk, please inform the staff member of your room number and name.
    • (3)
      Please be sure to return the room key to the front desk when you leave the hotel. If you do not return the key, you will be charged the actual cost.
  • 3. 
    Handling of valuables and lost property
    • (1)
      During your stay, please use the safe (safety deposit box) in your room to store your valuables, cash, etc. Please note that you are solely responsible for checking the safety of the safe (safety deposit box) while in use, and that this accommodation facility will not provide compensation for any loss or damage that occurs during use.
    • (2)
      Items left at the front desk, cloakroom, etc. will be stored for 7 days unless otherwise specified.
    • (3)
      When a visitor leaves baggage or personal belongings (excluding valuables) behind and leaves the accommodation, the possession of said items will be deemed to have been transferred to the accommodation, and in principle the accommodation will wait for contact from the owner and ask for instructions, but if instructions are not given within one month, the items will be disposed of. However, food, drink, tobacco, magazines, etc. will be disposed of on the same day. If instructions are not given from the owner, valuables will be reported to the police as lost property in accordance with the Lost Property Act.
  • 4. 
    Payment
    • (1)
      Please pay at the front desk in currency, a voucher approved by the accommodation facility, or a credit card, etc. Please note that we cannot accept payment by check (including traveler's checks).
    • (2)
      Please pay at the front desk when you arrive or when we request your payment.
    • (3)
      When payment is to be received from a person other than the guest staying at the hotel, if payment is not received by the specified due date, the guest will be required to pay the fee directly.
    • (4)
      If you wish to change the number of nights you have planned, please contact the front desk in advance. If you wish to extend your stay, please make payment up to that point.
    • (5)
      During your stay, if you are asked to pay a bill from the front desk, please pay each time.
    • (6)
      When signing for bills at restaurants or other facilities within the hotel, please present your accommodation card with your room number and your room key.
    • (7)
      We will not pay for shopping expenses, airline tickets, train tickets, bus tickets, taxi fares, luggage shipping fees, etc.
  • 5. 
    Other Prohibited Activities
    • (1)
      Please refrain from taking home any items provided in the guest rooms or the building (please feel free to take home amenities such as toothbrushes).
    • (2)
      Please refrain from dyeing your hair in the guest rooms or anywhere else in the building. If you soil the large communal bath, bathroom, washstand, or fixtures, you will be responsible for the cleaning costs and the actual costs of repairs, etc.
    • (3)
      Please do not bring the following items into the accommodation:
      ① Animals, including pets
      ② Items that emit a foul or unpleasant odor
      ③ A significantly large amount of items
      ④ Items that are flammable or easily combustible, such as gunpowder or volatile oils
      ⑤ Guns and swords that are not permitted to be possessed
      ⑥ Other items the possession of which is prohibited by Japanese law
    • (4)
      We will refuse use of our accommodation to any of the following organizations or individuals:
      ① Organized crime groups, members of organized crime groups, organizations related to organized crime groups, and related parties
      ② A person affiliated with a corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an organized crime group or a member of an organized crime group
      ③ Antisocial groups, members of antisocial groups, and related parties
      ④ When assault, injury, threats, extortion, intimidating unjust demands, or similar acts are recognized.
      5. Anyone who is unable to ensure their own safety due to mental impairment, loss of composure due to drugs, etc., and who may pose a danger, fear or anxiety to other customers.
      ⑥ A person who fails to immediately stop an act of violation of the rules of use of the accommodation facility after receiving a warning from the accommodation facility.
    • (5)
      Please refrain from gambling or any other behavior that disrupts public morals within the premises of this accommodation.
    • (6)
      Please refrain from shouting, singing, or any other noisy behavior that may disturb other guests within the facility.
    • (7)
      Please do not enter or force others to enter any employee-use areas other than the business facilities within the accommodation facility without permission.
    • (8)
      Please do not distribute or post advertising materials or sell any goods within the premises of this accommodation facility without the permission of this accommodation facility.
    • (9)
      We will not allow minors to stay alone without parental permission.
    • (10)
      We strictly prohibit any photography that may cause inconvenience to other guests at our accommodation. Furthermore, any photos taken within our accommodation that are made public for commercial purposes without permission may be subject to legal action.
    • (11)
      When using the facilities and equipment within this accommodation, please observe the rules set forth for each facility and equipment.
    • (12)
      If any other conduct similar to those listed above is observed, we will refuse your use of the facility.
