JR KYUSHU HOTELS Inc. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President & CEO: Hidehiko Kadoya) will relax its grooming rules from Thursday, August 1 with the aim of creating an environment where employees can work freely and happily, improving guest engagement by fostering a corporate culture that recognizes diversity, and strengthening the ability to recruit diverse human resources.

Regarding the relaxation of the rules on appearance, we have decided to continue to maintain a clean and tidy appearance, while avoiding detailed rules as much as possible, respecting the autonomy of employees themselves, and asking for their "self-discipline." Furthermore, from the perspective of genderlessness, we will abolish the previous gender-specific rules.

New grooming rules

1. Abolish separate rules for men and women in order to achieve a genderless society.

2. Hairstyles are free as long as they are not unusual. *However, long hair must be tied back.

3. Hair color may be dyed up to hair color scale 12. *This does not apply to natural hair.

4. Gel nails and nail polish should be natural colors that match your skin, and stones and glitter are acceptable as long as they are subtle.

5. Sneakers, flat shoes, and pumps with straps are also acceptable.

6. Earrings and necklaces are allowed. *There are certain rules regarding size, etc.

We have many employees of various foreign nationalities working at our company, and by accepting each other's diversity, we hope to foster a corporate culture that is comfortable for foreigners to work in and attracts a diverse range of human resources.
