JR Kyushu Hotels and Resorts Co., Ltd. (Location: Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, President & CEO: Hidehiko Kadoya) is cooperating with FASHION X (Location: Ota-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Satoshi Hatakeyama) at the lodging-oriented hotels "THE BLOSSOM HIBIYA (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo)" and "JR KYUSHU HOTEL Blossom Shinjuku (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo)" operated by the Company, as part of its sustainable initiatives, in January 2026, we started a clothing donation activity that allows guests to donate clothes that they no longer need.
In addition to unnecessary items brought by guests, this initiative also targets lost items that have passed the storage period in the hotel, and aims to contribute to society by contributing to items that had previously had to be discarded.
Another feature is that we have introduced a system that allows guests to select the support menu (where to use) for the donated items from a two-dimensional code. You can choose from three menus: "Children's Meal Support", "Children's Education Support", and "Children's Vaccine Support".

[Initiatives]
     

・Clothing and other items that guests no longer need will be collected at the front desk during their stay or when they check out.
・Collection is also available in guest rooms, and if you wish to donate, you can participate by simply placing the "collection request card" provided in your room on your clothing, etc. Collection will be carried out by hotel staff after check-out.
・By using lost and found items found on the premises after the designated storage period and whose owner has not been identified as eligible for donation, we will treat clothing that previously had to be discarded as a "resource" and aim to reduce the amount of waste generated by the hotel.
The collected items will be put to good use through "FASHION X," which aims to reduce waste and contribute to society by collecting and recycling clothing. Guestscan also choose how their donations will be used by scanning the QR code. There is absolutely no cost to guests for participating in this initiative.

This initiative is a participatory initiative that allows people not only to donate clothes and stuffed animals, but also to choose the form of support. The small choices you make at the end of your journey can lead to the next action that will support someone's life. In addition, by effectively utilizing lost items generated during hotel operations, we contribute to reducing waste and environmental impact.

Many lost items occur in hotels every day. If the owner could not be found after a certain period of storage, there was a situation where it had to be disposed of as garbage.
Recognizing this current situation as an issue, the hotel has repeatedly considered whether it is possible to use clothing and other items that can still be used sufficiently as "resources that will be connected to the next person who needs" rather than "discarded", and has launched this initiative to reduce environmental impact and contribute to society in the form of clothing and other donations that guests can participate in. Donations include a wide range of items, including towels, bags, hats, accessories, plush toys, toys, unused shoes and stationery, with a focus on clothing.
